> Outsource Support - Part 3
In this final part of this guide to outsourcing the technical support department
of your hosting company, we review some of the top providers for such service.
Touch Support - US based
Touch Support enjoys a very firm repute for reliability and is well recommended
by many on Web Hosting Talk forums. It's a US based operation with a dedicated
North American team that values customer satisfaction. Language shouldn't
be an issue at all, as all of their employees have English as their native
tongue.
Talking about their plans, per ticket, per domain as well as packages
for VPS support and live chatting are available. You can buy 100 tickets
for $350, but beware that they will expire in a month whether consumed
or not. You can also opt for a $60/m plan that will take care of up to
75 domains belonging to your clients. If you are selling reseller accounts,
you can buy support for your reseller's resold domains at a discounted
price.
As for telephone support, they do not state anything on the website. But
we were informed that the service is available as an add-on for existing
customers.
Host Works - Canada
Even though the corporate website makes you feel hitting the back button,
their packages are very interesting and tailored to the needs of many.
Those selling a lot of small reseller or multiple domain plans will find
their plans heaven made.
You can buy a minimum of 50 tickets for $3 each. Then there's a $100/m
plan to support up to 100 of your domains, while additional domains can
be added for $0.85/m each.
What really sets them apart from the competitors is the Per Account Plan.
For a mere $1.20/m you can guarantee 24/7 technical support to a multiple
domain account holder for up to 5 of his domains. For other solutions,
they are open to customized support plans and asking won't hurt.
Telephone support to your hosting customers is also very economical through
them. You have to incur a fixed cost of $75 per month. This will route
all of your toll-free calls to their call centre and then you are only
charged 50 cents per minute.
Bob Cares - India
The only Asian company to make it on our list. However, just because they
are from India, don't be fooled to think that the pricing will be extremely
cheap. In fact, there isn't much of a difference, and where there is,
Bob might be more expensive!
They have strong expertise and a history of supporting all types of web
server operating platforms and hosting automation control panels.
As for the plans, they offer a solution for everyone; from a start-up
hosting reseller with as low as 12 domains only to large scale hosting
companies with thousands of hosting clients. And depending on the plan,
your per domain support cost can range from $2 to $0.40 each. Though $2
per domain may sound too much, but this is the cost of providing great
support to your customers. Perhaps it will be easier to grow with the
word of mouth advertising from satisfied customers, and later you can
enjoy the economy of scale with a larger plan.
Telephone support for Tier 1 issues is US based and costs a bomb here.
